Faster lighter

Had a good run last night, with 5 miles at 9.13... Very fast for me And then I stood on the scales this morning I find I've lost even more weight!!! It's a good day... Now off to the running school

Good day

Just had a stonking day at the running school with progress videos being reshot ... And the progress is astounding... I've list weight, better form improved everything... I'm well chuffed as they say...

Hard wind

Missed a night as the 6 days a week is pushing it a little, but was out last night in the high winds.
Nearly gave up on the last rep but made it in the end and managed just under 6 miles in 55 minutes, and that's on a easy/hard run program.

Beet my PB!!

Hit the road again, with a 20min warmup and then a 5k... And knower 15 secs off my 5k PB including a short walk at the top of a hill and two hills... Now it's 26.59 down from 27.14. Thought about doing next weeks watford half, but decided to stick to my training plan, as it appears to be working.
Missed the NSPCC meet the experts days as work intruded, but feeling good and enjoying the training

Back to school

Off to the running school today, or forest gump school as the wife has taken to calling it.... How's that for support????

Have lost some more weight, and everything is feeling tighter and less flabby so I think this running thing is working!!!

Run gym




Another 3 miles added to the total, along with a strength session in the gym. My easy run pace is getting better with sub 10 (9.53) tonight and that includes feeling rough and running up hills in snow/ice

To the gym go I

The plan said 40 mins easy so I decided to avoid the slushy stuff and hit the gym... I hate treadmills... I think I need the wind in my hair kind of thing as I get so hot on a gym treadmill and it feels harder than the road... Still clocked up 4.1miles in. 40ish minutes and then added some strength work so happy... Now sitting down to a harvester to spoil all the good work but as they say of you are good 80% of the time you can be bad for 20%!!!!

Still feeling like poo with a fluy cold. The only good new is my knee is getting some much needed rest, and the acupuncture/needling certainly seems to have worked.
I've only missed a couple of training sessions, but I'm itching to hit the road before the snow really hits...then I think I might be stuck on the treadmill although I have bought a set of Yaktraks which do seem to work quite well on the ice.

Better today

Scrambled eggs on toast and then a walk into work. (Plan says 45m walk)

Yesterday's run and workout felt crap, but still kicked an average of 9.30m/m. Feeling better this morning.

Well I made it into work, with my 55 minute walk - luckily tescos is on the way in with public loos if you know what I mean , but I'm feeling a little better... I wonder if its possible to have a food hangover?

How many calories??????!!!!

At daughters 16 birthday, did well with the steak and veggies and ok I admit it I ate pudding, but 1190 calories for a single slice of cheese cake is way too much!!!

Next time I'll check before eating!!!!

Long run

Did the long run today, just under 10 miles (20m run then 20 x 2m run, 2m walk)
A bit stiff afterwards but surprising fresh... And even with the run walk, I'm now running faster than I did in the past

Veggies

Just sat down and planned our weekly menu having discovered the hairy bikers diet menus cannot believe the amount of veggies I'm buying... And the god is quite decent as well.

Rest day today, 1hr 20 run tomorrow and a days scuba diving as well so tomorrow is going to be a long day... But next week is going to be less harsh with less running and more walking as well as a visit to the Physio on Thursday.

Running school

It's Thursday so it must be running school today. Officially a rest day, and a 1/2 say off work, but trundling off to Stanford brook for an hours torture on the treadmill...

PS the weight watchers food app is crap... Hardly finds any foods, and no barcode reader... Myfitnesspal is far better

Hot and sweaty

I'd describe tonight's run as hot and sweaty. Supposed to be 30 mins easy, but I had to keep reminding myself to slow down. Couple of hill thrown in. 7/10
