Back again

It was a nice sunny day so I took a chance and ran the 2.5miles to the gym... Quite hard as I think I have pulled my hamstring a bit but got there in the end, then did 400m warm down and 10mins I the bike.. Now ready for my pizza!!!! I am diving tomorrow and at excel all weekend do have a reasonable recovery time.. And now looking at doing the silverstone 10k in may.

Chugged arond.

Still felt a bit grotty, but also felt stressed so I needed to got for a run. Chugged around 4,5 miles felt a bit achy and hot and cold flushed, but feeling good about my run. Will post results tomorrow as I cannot be bothered to turn the PC on to upload my watch...

Not well

Been off for a couple of days with flu, but decided to pus myself to the gym.

Tried to take it easy, with 2m@11.15 and then some steps and a couple of miles of the bike but got seriously over heated. I didn't think I had a fever before I started, but I think I might have pushed it. Legs get ok apart from slight stiffness but head feels very very hot. Not a good session.

Still I have 9 weeks to go to BUPA so I'm going to start an 8 week training plan next week. Hopefully I have rwcovered by then.

Intervals on the mill

Didn't have much time today, and had a stressful day so hit the gym with wife's for a short one. Decided to try intervals on a treadmill 1st was 30s@7.5 2m@5.5 with 5 reps and then 45s@8 and 1.30@5,5 again with 5 reps... Interesting is all I can say and harder than I expected... But I got there in the end!!!

Good run

Went for a run last night, and ended up doing my best run ever. It was long, 6.5 miles, fastish 10.16, but I felt good during it and even better after! Bit achy this morning but still feeling happy

Gym



Didn't real with it today, but wifey dragged me to the gym this evening and I managed to chug along for 4 miles. Did I mention I hate tread mills? Setting it to 1% makes it a little more realistic, but I get so hot, and there was a bloke beside me thudding along at 8.30, but he stopped at 3 miles.
Now home playing on my new iPad, And about to eat my chicken and chorizo rice thing.

Gym

Wifey wanted to go to the gym, so I tagged along for a lite workout angrier yesterday's 6 miler. 20mins on bike, 12 elypotical and 12 on the strider got me nicely warm, without being too strenuous.
Back on the road tomorrow (I thnk!!) as wifey pointed out its only 12 days to the sport relief mile... Why I'm running 6 is beyond me :-)!!

Got Lost but winning!!

Went for a run today, planned around 4ish miles, but managed to get lost and did considerably more!! Did my long Moor Park estate run backwards (the run not me!!), as the massive hill was better at the start than the end, took what I though was a extra road, and then found I was running in circles, nearly back to my start point. So I hit the tube station at 4.5 miles (normally about my 1/2 way point), with still 4 miles to go. Still I plodded on and managed 66 minutes of continous running, without killing myself. I might ache tomorrow, but I feel good. I am a runner!!! Energy Gel at 3 miles.... I like strawberry & Banana! Didn't fell like eating much when i got home, but wifey had cooked me turkey wraps so I munched through all the peppers and turkey. Wayne

Good run

Been working most of the day and was tired, but needed to hit the road and go for a run. Felt fantastic managed a good 4.92 miles in 49.26 (thats avg of 10.03) and tried an energy gel thingy at the half way point. I don't know if it is all in the mind but I felt it gave me a boost. Certainly managed to hit the last hill with a spring in my step...

Longer

did that running thing again tonight, tried a different route and went a little further and felt reasonable, alrhough I did walk u a little hill when I thought I was lost.. 4.35 miles with an av pace of 9:40

I hate treadmills!!

I have come to the conclusion that I don't do well running after a meal, and I really really hate treadmills. Had tea, went to gym, managed 3.25 miles at 1% and 6mph, and then 10 mins fat burning on a bike to warm down. I find treadmills confining and don't mange to find a comfortable pace

Good run

Felt figity and restless so hit the road with a gentle 4 miles to the local tube station and back.. Quite a respectable 9.52 over the 4 miles but I think my HM was playing up as I was running with a HR of 68???? Might need to change the battery!!!

Long and slow

decided to hit the road tonight with a long slow distance run for a change. Wifey went to the gym, so I had a destination and a rough route. Run wasn't too bad although I find it hard to keep my pace down, but the distance felt good overall I managed 4.56 miles in 48:10 giving an average pace of 10.40 not fantastic, but ok
